The 980nm laser is optimally absorbed by porphyrin in vascular cells. The vascular cells absorb the high-energy 980nm laser, and the targeted vessels are gradually treated. A professionally designed handpiece focuses the 980nm laser beam onto a 0.2–0.5mm diameter range, allowing more focused energy to reach the target tissue while sparing the surrounding skin tissue.

The laser can also stimulate dermal collagen growth during vascular treatment, increasing epidermal thickness and density so that small blood vessels become less visible, while the skin’s elasticity and firmness are enhanced.
